pixels – Note: Watch at 100% in your media player or it will stretch and look
blurry.
Notice how
the high contrast images of faces against the bright sky or dark backgrounds do
not cause the image to become washed out.
Additionally, our transfer does not use a “film gate”, allowing us to
capture as much of the original image as possible. Keep in mind that this sample video was
compressed and reduced to a small
picture size of 320x240 to make it internet friendly.
Our
transfers use an oversized aperture that allow capturing as much of the
edge-to-edge film as possible.

This is
shot indoors and is from 1962. While the
lighting isn’t the best, it is fun to see this vintage motorized truck that
made a kid really happy at Christmas time.
Super 8 Stereo
Sound Transfer Sample

8mm Sound film. The sample is in
Microsoft WMV format and will play using many different popular programs,
including Windows Media Player.
The
image size has been reduced to a small, “internet friendly”, image size of
320x240 pixes. Much smaller than
standard TV.

pixels – Note: Watch at 100% in your media player or it will stretch and look
blurry.
Note,
this is from a commercial stereo test film produced by Elmo to show off their
stereo projectors. The color has started
to turn red, as is common with commercially sold super 8 films from the 70s and
80s because they used lower cost film stock which turns red as years pass. You can see that we have been able to restore some of the blue
color, making the whites, white again. Also note that for a moment, the text is blurry. That is a problem in the manufacturing of the film,
not in the film transfer process. For more information, visit our FAQ.
Here is
another, short, sample of a stereo film transfer.
