Experiments with a prototype time machine will take place on the planet Valeria, and ISA commissioner and senior crew members of Starlab are invited to observe. During the routine flight to pick up Commissioner White, there is a malfunction aboard Jon and Buddy's ship causing it to pop out of hyper-space. At that instant, the two are transformed into eight-year-old boys. The Valerians offer their time machine to accelerate the boys back to their own ages and, on the trip, we witness some startling historic events.
The
Starlab crew have an appointment on Volaria to see a time experiment
given by Gayland Varago and his apprentice. During the experiment,
they were shown the Earth’s past, including the death of Christ.
After the demonstration, a time accident occurs that affects Jon and
Buddy.
The
start of the episode discusses how most space vessels have moved away
from using petroleum based fuel.
Another reference is made to old time radio programs. This time
they referenced “The Shadow”, which first aired in 1930.
It is implied that Gayland and Marieca are not human, or at least not
from earth. They are on Volaria. It is not stated if Volaria
is a planet or a location on a planet.
We learn that Jon’s birthday is May 23rd.
Again at the end of the program, Roger Dressler provides the address to
allow fans to contact the production team of Alien Worlds.
