On
Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Max Eider, long time friend and
band mate of Pat Fish, The Jazz Butcher, posted the following:
"Very sad to announce that my old friend Pat Fish died
suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday evening. Pat rocked my
world in every way and his death leaves a big hole in my
life and my memory, much of which was only stored in his
outsized brain. Goodbye mate and thanks for everything. I’m
going to miss you.
Max x"
Since becoming an avid Jazz Butcher fan, I have been on a quest to collect the various recordings branded with the Jazz Butcher name.
During this quest, I have noticed song variations that are
not identified as variations on the album or CD packaging. The
main intent of this page is to denote where variations exist
in the JBC catalog that I have found. Although this is a
rather long list, it is not the definitive Jazz Butcher
discography, but items in my collection that I have been
able to confirm.
To the fan looking to find JBC vinyl and CDs, I hope this helps in your quest to find all the little variations that are out there. It can also help you avoid buy something you already have in your collection. Please note that this is not a sale or trade list, just (what I hope is useful) information for fellow JBC fans.
If you want to see the definitive Jazz Butcher Conspiracy everything, please visit the official Jazz Butcher Conspiracy web site. (it's the cat's meow!)

"The Plymouth Fastbucks" are Pat Fish and Max Eider. The song was
re-recorded as "President Reagan's Birthday Present", with a
few lyric changes. This recording has not been
released on any other known LP or CD.
The last song on side 1, "The Night of the Two Full Moons",
continues all the way into the inner groove of the record so
it repeats until the needle is removed.

This is Pat Fish headlining the group “Sumosonic”. The band name is not listed anywhere on the promo release. Not a great marketing tactic. It also makes it harder for record stores to categorize this promotional release and harder for fans to find the few copies of this vinyl pressing that were actually made. It does say, “Produced by the Lords of Sumo”.

Dr Cholmondley Repents: A-Sides,
B-Sides and Seasides (CD Box Set, 2021-10-26)
Available for order in September 2021, just a month before we lost Pat Fish, the album was released shortly after Pat's passing. The album is listed as "Compiled by Pat Fish." and contains many of the elusive, one-off compilation, cuts that are documented above, which are very hard to track down.
The hype-sticker on the packaging says the following, "A new 59 track set gathering over a dozen indie chart hits, B-sides, tangential 12-inch tracks (the C-sides), and an excellent session for Los Angeles radio station KCRW from 1989. 'The Jazz butcher is on of the most brilliant incisive pop writers that Britain has produced since the glory days of Ray Davies and Pete Townshend' - Alan McGee, Creation. An essential alternative world view, tracing pop culture through the kaleidoscope of the '80s and beyond."
